Project 12 x 2 - 1, Scene 13: Old Penang
I meant it na ganun para...
1) Prepare an all-in food commentary for a series of restos na kinainan namin ni Katlina this last week of July para sa aming second year anniversary! Wooot!
and...
2) Para may palusot ako sa katamaran kong mag-sulat.
Hindi ako madalas sa Resorts World kahit literally ilang hakbang lang ito from home. Kaya nung naisip namin na manood ng sine dito, I have no specific place in mind to dine in after the movie. Nakita namin yung Heinanese chicken sa menu ng Old Penang kaya dito namin naisip kumain.
Malaysian ang food offering nila at mukang enticing yung presyo.
The place is along a chain of restaurants on the 4th floor of Resorts World, where the cinemas are.
- Yangchow Rice
- Hainanese Chicken
- Char Kway Teow
- Sweet and Sour Pork
- House Tea
Turn off si Katlina dito.
With an option to be served as spicy or not, pinili namin yung maanghang syempre. It's not as spicy as we expected pero para sakin tama lang yung mix ng tamis at anghang. Nagbi-build up yung anghang niya habang tumatagal.
Gusto ko yung presentation ng sweet and sour pork. Nakalagay siya sa plate ng lettuce. Gusto ko yung style na yun. Medyo napa-sobra yung tamis nung ulam and aside from that, there's nothing more special sa lasa niya.
House tea is good.
Helpful yung menu.
Besides, being located in Resorts World, you'll go out of your way para pumunta dito for something as mediocre.
Baka kelangan pa namin masubukan yung ibang options. Pero dun sa mga sinubukan namin, one of which is supposed to be their specialty (Heinanese Chicken), parang hindi worth it.
6 out of 14!
