My Lady

We travelled the dirty roads of Lawton,
Crossed Jones Bridge on a parched afternoon.
Not within the comforts of a plush sedan,
Nor to indulge on a chic restaurant.
That at the end of the day she can say,
..."I enjoyed because we're together",
Is enough of a luxury for me.
I know right then and there I found,
"MY lady".
