SOCCEROOS ROOOOOCKS!!! REFEREE SUUUUCKS!!!

As usual, the gang went this morning to Star City Casino to watch Team Australia in action against one of the league topdogs Team Italia. 12:30 midnight pa lang ang haba na ng pila towards the casino entrance, unlike the previous match against Croatia.

Quick facts muna: Harry Kewell did not play because of an injury. Guus Hiddink, the Socceroo's Dutch coach, had led Team Korea on the last World Cup to win against Team Italy. I bet 10 bucks for Team Australia with odds of 1.45, meaning my 10 could win 45. Sports betting is legal here. Pero walang pa-"Ending".

Before the 1am kickoff, we were able to secure a nice spot on a carpeted floor right in front of one of the casino's huge flatscreens. Fans from all over Sydney, sobber or not, huddled around on every screens of the premise... different races, all in the gold and green colors of FEU... este Team Australia. Hehe.

The game went pretty well with the Socceroos exhibiting their defensive prowess. I would really bet for a draw since I have a good hunch that Italia can never penetrate the OZ defense, but where's the "heart" on it? So ye, I kinda pushed my luck and bet for the team to win. That's the spirit!

Still, as I've expected, the game went through with drawish tendency. The first half ended nil all, but it was not a bad day for Aussie. They have their share of ball domination and was able to shake the Italian defensive for sometime.

Second half proceeded with the same drawish scenario until a player from Italy got a red card, giving the Aussies one man advantage against their opponent. The OZ's capitalized on this, totally dominating the whole second half until Italy sent in their lead striker Totti. On the last 5 or 6 minutes (doesn't really matter to me, basta patapos na yung game), one of the Italian player was able to penetrate inside the penalty box. On a daring move to save the ball, one of the Australian defender slide tackled for the ball and was able to parry it away succesfully. However, the Italian player, who seemed to be the best actor in the world too, fell by himself, implying that he was tripped by the tackling Socceroo. The stupid referee fell for the bullshit act and called for a penalty kick.

Totti took the penalty kick and ye, we all know how likely that will end up on a score. Pfft. Boooo! Hiss!! Referee bollocks!!

The Australians waited long to get a spot in the World Cup only to be ruined by a crappy referee. Intayin nila ang magiging anak ko... striker ng Team Pilipinas!! World Cup 2050!!!

Only lightning has no revenge!!! (Lintik lang ang walang ganti!!)

Woowoot!!

Koya Jei: hehehe walang kelaman ng trip.

Ati Ar: ye sa tingin ko te Neng eto pinaka controversial na WC. as of now, etong WC na to na ang may pinakamadaming record ng red cards. :D

Koya or Ati Ei: queer. but that's another story altogether. i personally liked how they drew it.

Ati Ai: the Socceroos too!!

Ati Dee: ulit pa eh. :D

Ati Kei: me too. and here in Ozland, they still have several sub-rules for rugby that'll confuse you more. it's like they're playing OZ football here with three rulesets.
