Life is a Balancing Act

Wednesday - SA Movie Premier Turnover
Bacolod Chicken Inasal
Turnover for the SA Movie Premier. Guys from SE13 were also there as well as their Sheps.

SE14 Attendance: Me, Emz, K, Ivan, Joiner Lor, Joiner Erl, Kia, Inday Eesai, Marcoes P and M, Sheps Ali Mike Tish, Jan the Man, Cleo, Philip, Drew, Nino, may nakalimutan ba?

I'll be tagging along with Emz as Publications Head. Charles was the one who oriented us about the nitty-gritty. Tambay in the place until midnight with Shep Ali, Laurie, and Erl just to pass the night.

After that, I rushed to Istarbuko-Adriatico in Malate to meet Pinsan Idol and Techy Friend. Tambay ulit. Olats, I was aching to have that limited-ed tumbler she have. It looks like a regular iced grande cup (yung transparent na plastic cup) kaso tumbler siya so matigas yung plastic tapos may built-in na locked-on straw.

Argh.

Thursday - "The Dark Knight" Movie Premier
Greenbelt Tres
That day, I changed an earring to a Batman one. Tapos naka shirt ako na may Bat symbol.

SE14 Attendance: Me, Jan the Man, Fellowship Head (? haha) Marco P., Marco M., Raissa, Kia, Kat, Ivan, Sheps Ali and Mike, Drew, sino pa ba?

Nakita namin si Del (SE13) with his workmates. Same cinema din. There was this Globe premier events guy na namimigay na ng libreng tickets with free popcorns and drinks to boot. Hindi kasi dumating yung ibang clients nila so sayang yung mga seats. Kinuha na lang namin number nya for future premieres (The Mummy!).

Friday - VMS and QA Team Night Out
Coronado Lanes, Starmall
Buong 17th floor sumama. Dinner muna sa Teriyaki Boy then bowling afterwards.

We were grouped into four five-member teams and after two rounds of ball-tossing, we won at 187.4 combined average points. Kaching!

Astig ng scores ko... 154 and 137 for the 1st and 2nd games, respectively. And the last time I played bowling was two years ago already! This was where I grabbed "Best Male Bowler 2006" for having the highest overall scores after a tourney league (but our team din't win the top slot back then). What's cool is that the talent is innate. I never bowl that much or even show much interest for the sports but I just happen to sally in some good throws and has some good aptitude with it.

Game 1: Strike (19) / (28) / Strike (56) / Strike (75) / Spare (93) / (102) / Strike (120) / (128) / (137) / Strike (154) - 154 points
Game 2: (9) / Spare (27) / Spare (44) / Spare (57) / (65) / Strike (84) / (93) / (101) / Strike (121) / Spare (137) - 137 points

Haha!

I went to da Shak afterwards.

an avenue of food stalls, how can you go wrong by NOT going there... yub yub!

Uh well. Class dismissed at 2AM.

Saturday - "Perfect Storm"
Manila Yacht Club
Sailing aboard the 40-footer "Challenge" at the Manila Yacht Club.

"Challenge" Crew Attendance: Martin, Waway, Carlo, Paul, Devlin, Kellie, Pat, Mikey, Gelo, Mang Pi, Vince, Del, Lou, Owen, sino pa ba?

the kamote crew version 2, waiting for the race

The original crew of "Challenge" is back and it's the first time I saw how 14 big guys fit on the 40-footer. I was designated to be with Master Carlo on the pit, teaching me how the piano works and where each sheets are connected. It was a pretty interesting post and I'm looking forward to learn more about it.

Day Regatta 08) in the form of Attorney Owen. Since he's almost Gelo's size (think triple X shirts haha peace!), pwede siya pang Mastman.

Ang malupet, biglang umulan ng malakas. Of course, we don't really mind being drenched and all. I remember the first time I sailed in "Challenge" it rained hard too. Ang problema, kumikidlat na! So us and "Jo de Ros" (opposing yacht) called the race off. Tumambay na lang kami sa club for some pansit (traditional food daw) and booze.

Inuman session continuation at Dencio's-Harbour View. (senti mode) Istarbuko-Harbour View still holds a place in my heart kasi (/senti mode). And also, adik na adik ako sa dark mocha ngayon. Ang malupit, sabi ng tropa kong barista hanggang this week na lang siya tapos uubusin na lang yung ingredients phase out na. Olats. Kaya habang meron pa, kape ako ng kape. Anlapot na siguro ng dugo ko.

the senti pic sa Istarbuko Harbour View. tae to, nakaka miss

We went our ways around 11PM but me and the bozz Gelo (still aching to wander), went to our tambayan, Da Shak, in Kamias. South to North. Hehe. Class dismissed at 1AM.

Sunday - "Return of the Korn"
Camp Pugad Lawin, La Mesa Eco Park
Regular airsoft games with the Screaming BB's.

SBB Attendance: Jubay, Garrlolo, Obi Doo, Jeng, Inggo, Jorge, Hansy, Rommel, Lloyd, Korn, Sir Lee, Sir Gem, and one other People Parker

Korn is back in the game. But just like Jubay Bomber, he's also converted to the DSLR-side of the Force! Naka camera na silang lahat! Furthering my envy to start the hobby. Argh. Sir Gem and Lee even cut their games short as they have to rush back in their Morato studio for a pictorial. Must resist. I have lots of hobbies already and photography had been a very old frustration... since highschool pa!

It was a nice day to game albeit humid and damn hot. Yun pala uulan ng malakas sa hapon. Some of us continued playing and we don't really mind gaming in the rain but the food (lots!) kicked in on me and I felt a bit sluggish already. Naka apat na games lang ako that day.

Dinner at Nato's-Kamuning afterwards then tambay sa Shak.

Korn, post the pics na!
