Got Poop?

Mogwai

I've long heard about this place but haven't really had the chance to get a fix on scheduling a visit and who to drag along with. The idea got piled over with heaps of random impressions in my convoluted brain (not to mention the factor of my chronic short-term memory loss) until I had this talk with a cineaste friend yesterday (yesterday nga ba? - see how chronic!) that the plan to check the place out resurfaced.

My interest was extra tickled when I read that they serve Alamid Coffee. This concoction was brewed from Alamid (wild cat) poop. C'mmown mamon, how more adventurous can you get when it comes to food without imbibing brewed poopoo??

Reminds me of our latest trek in Mount Manabo where we saw a local dweller with a pet wild cat. The Flash was telling us that its poop could actually be brewed for coffee. I'll gonna drink that for sure but not with the hapless source within my line of sight. That's just adding insult to disgust when the cat stares back at you while you drink its jerbax.

jerbax (n.) - tae; jebers; jabebers; jerbo; dumi. Source: Diksyunaryo ni Lolo

Cream of the cake was their mini theater on its second level. They usually screen independent and offbeat films but I think there's a membership thing to have access to the chamber. I would love to pay if it's worth it. We'll see. For now, just the artsy look of the place is enough for me to know that iL enjoy a visit.
