A general summation of "what-have-beens" on my longest time off work since I started my career - last year's holiday season...

"Gorilla in Manila" - Dec. 21

* last day of work for year 2007. Wacha, Mher, and Momon were back from Singapore. the Justice League-HP and friends arranged a night-out with da estranged tropa.
* i was able to give my Christmas gifts to some of them although at the moment of this writing, i still have some gifts undelivered with me. pumasok na kayo! demmit.
* grub and booze gallore... and they won't stop coming. maaga pa bangengergs na ko.
* attendance: obi, wacha, ayn, dan, dd, ogie, joko, james, jb, mher, ayen, mama ruth, al, bher, jzent, raymund, rex, irene, momon + 1, rik rik, three HP noobs
* class dismissed @ 3:15AM

"Regalo Kong Kubyertos" - Dec. 23
Market! Market! Mall (i can't see the point for exclamation marks), Fort Bonifacio, Taguig
* Christmas grocery escapade with the mom, panghanda sa Noche Buena.
* dun na kami nag-dinner sa food court. matapos kumain, napansin nya na binalot ko sa wrapper ng pinagkainan ko yung aluminum fork and spoon para maisama sa mga stuffs na itatapon. pinagsabihan nya ko na tanggalin yung mga kubyertos dun dahil sa food court yun. sabi ko oks lang yun... regalo ko na lang sa mga scavengers sa tambakan ng basura. sa taong makakakita nun, e di may magagamit na silang kutsara't tinidor sa Pasko. ang ginawa ni mami, binalot nya na din yung kubyertos nya sa wrapper para isama sa itatapon. awww. mag-inang hoodlum. haha.

"Kapit Kolesterol, Wag Kang Bibitaw" - Dec. 24

I want to have this "under-the-tree-with-gifts" pic an annual thing...

* maaga pa nag jogging na ko sa plaza, sabay basketball. in anticipation ito ng mangyayaring kainan pag sapit ng noche buena.
* may pakulo ang Air Force. nag setup sila ng Belen-making competition at sa field nila nilagay. sa gitna nito ay binuksan ang sarili nilang version ng "giant Christmas tree". tinawag nila ang lugar na "Market Place" dahil sa gabi may entertainment dito at konting tiangge. nag jogging ako sa paligid ng mga Belen na ito. astig.
* mini-reunion ang Pasko namin as usual. sa lolo ko sa mom-side kami nag-Pasko. opchors, wala ang tatay ng kapatid ko dahil duty "daw". hehe. walang epek, anyways. pero impyernes kasali pa din sya sa kris kringle.
* grub menu: lumpiang shanghai, fruit salad, pancit bihon, choco cake, buko pandan, barbecue, turbo chicken, menudo, kare kare, pichi pichi, spaghetti, suman, fruit cocktail in cream, pata tim, fish relleno, chicken relleno, drinks, arroz cubana, malagkit, carbonara
* nagsipag-bukasan kami ng regalo pag uwi. mga 4am na ko natulog.

"Leftover Party" - Dec. 25
Da Shak, QC
* the customary Christmas leftover party happened at da Shak. umikot kami ni Jun at Jason sa Timog para maghanap ng pagkain and settled at Colasa's. humakot kami ng maraming chicha.
* may dalang fruitcake si Kaloy at saktong may brandy sa Shak. they tried to flambé the fruitcake in vain. ayaw magliyab nung brandy. demmit. jafakers.
* attendance: karlo, emp, jaycee, pork, asshole, jason, jumping johnny, jake, obi, jun, arvs, mayor tengco, topher, jan liit, plim, dennis, jp, joma, kulyong, jakob, marco, fides.
* umuwi na kami pero balita ko nalasing daw sila Joma, kumakanta ng "happy birthday Jesus" nung madaling araw na. how sweet.
