Barilan Keni? Ay Saguli!

January 12. The boyz headed north to Dau, Pampanga to raid Marina Arcade for whatever military surplus we could muster to use in airsoft. The weather was drizzly and just right for a perfect roadtrip. First stop was at Shell-NLEX to look for a nice place to buy grub. Failed.

Highbloog kung highblood!

We moved to the next petrol station (Petron-NLEX?) and settled to eat at Andok's. Pero bitin pa din sa chicha. We drove again to the next petrol station (Caltex-NLEX?) and had a drive-through at Mikdoneld. Nakipag-trippan pa kami dun sa poste ng mikropono na pinagkukuhaan ng order. Tawa na lang yung nasa counter.

Nakaka-gana sa pagkain ang kapaligiran... yummy!

Fast forward to Marina. Unang nilantakan namin ay yung nagbebenta ng calamares. It din't taste any different from those here in Manila. Hehe. Streetfood for the win! Eat now... get sick later. Haha. Anyway, after much wandering inside the premise I ended up with an above-budgeted-spending than I expected. My haul...

* olive drab shemagh (it's this cultural length of cloth wrapped around the head for protection from the sun and sand, common among middle eastern desert dwellers)

Nag-research pako pano magtali ng shemagh

* olive drab tactical vest

Halos gento yung nabili ko, may sidepockets lang

* original US military duffel bag (sa sobrang orig nya, may pangalan pa siya ng dating may ari... waha)

Yan yung duffel bag...
L-R: Pork, The Maw, Hairy Critter, Fine Young Cannibal

* olive drab cap with forehead velcro strap
* olive drab boonie hat (for Jun)

Apparently, all stuffs were colored military olive drab. Magbabago na kasi ako ng japorms from our US Multicam attire. Marami na kasing nakakagaya, unlike three years ago when the uniform was almost exclusive to our team because of its rarity. So now, iL be joining da boyz on their stand against team uniforms. We play now clad in the "mercenary" look which basically is just an amalgam of military gears, commonly aiming for a more lighter outfit.

The mercenary outfit... the lighter, the merrier!

After the shopping splurge, we rushed back to Virramall and met with da boyz of Fortress. Tambay lang magdamag. Dinner was at Le Ching before heading to the Shak in QC. Tambay ulit magdamag.

Attendance: Kim, Obi, Pork, Jake, Arvin, Emcee, Romy, Kei, Les, Marlu, Jakob, Fluffy, sa mga nakalimutan ko... belat!

Class dismissed at around 2AM.

Camp Malawak, Fairview. The mercs-we-are were invited by GPA (Gem's Private Army) United to play at this huuuuge jungle property just a couple of meters past SM-Fairview. Team Aces hosted the site. It was a nice alternative to where we used to play - Team Apocalypse's Camp Masada. We weren't able to visit there much since they've pushed through with limiting the gun-power of participating players. Masyadong malakas yung baril nung iba sa amin (Team Screaming BB's) para pumasa sa limit and/or payagang maglaro.

We've played there for two consecutive Sundays already:
January 6 - attendance: jeng, inggo, rommel, lloyd, garrik, val, obi, hans
January 13 - attendance: jun, jeng, inggo, garrik, obi, storm, rommel, hans

Our mercenary principle... "We fight for food!". Haha!

Lawnmower. That's the name of my AK74 rifle. It stuck up on Jun (the original owner) last Sunday when he borrowed it from me to play.

After much tinkering by Bilog, our resident gunsmith at da Shak, he found out that some of the parts has to be replaced. I headed to da Shak yesterday after work and ordered the replacement parts for the gun. I have to preserve the gun's reputation... it's not the "lawnmower" for nothing. It literally levelled down grass fields back during its heyday in Camp Masada and continues to do so until these days.

One of the reasons why I din't use it as much as necessary. Pag may makunat lang kaming kalaban, saka ko nilalabas yan. Truly, a pain gun every Sunday keeps the Zombies at bay.
