No Rest for the Wicked

Clearwater Resort
Last Saturday, our office held the yearly team building at Clearwater Resort in Clark Field, Pampanga. Our Aussie guest this time was one of my football mates in Sydney - Frank - so I brought my soccer ball to anticipate a brewing challenge.

Sandstone Footie Bootcamp
L-R: Frank, Kix, Ranger Roy, Jovic, Mister Uy, Yuki, Obi

Before that though, the morning was started with a mini "Amazing Race" challenge. We of the Team Blue only ended up bagging the "Best Chant" after leading the leg up to the last challenge but only to be out-manuevered at the last minute. Awk!

Team 2 - Blue
L-R: Koya Jeff, Obi Doo, Glenn, Yuki Eps, Ghe, Miss Fe (not in pic: Big John BJ & Ariel)

I spent the rest of the day wandering around doing lotsa stuffs to exhaustion:

*piano sessions at the clubhouse - since I can't get my hand to play billiards (jampacked ang lamesa!), I just contented myself tinkering with the place's piano and gave some very very basic tutorial on piano chords with interested workmates.

*football! - as said, Frank and I were able to assemble some of our mates to play ball. I brought the soccer ball my Chinese friend in Sydney gave me. After about a tiring hour of foot-soring ball-kicking, my team won 10 is to 7. Wooot!

*boating - too tired to row, I just lounged at the boat with three of my mates (two of em rowing), wandering around this huge man-made pond.

*kayak - seeing no challenge in the sloggish flatboat, we transferred on the kayak for an impromptu sprint race. we won, crossing the pond and back. hah!

*swimming (syemps) - goof off at the swimming pool.

Pants Off!

*beach volley - can't get enough body pain, I literally dragged my mates to play ball with me.

L-R: Cha, Boy John BJ, Obi, Kix, Yuki

Too bad, I can't stay overnight for I have an airsoft game the next day so with some of the peeps who will not stay too, we embarked on our bus service and braved the two hour traffic that was EDSA.

Camp Masada

Attendance: Obi, Garr, Sultan, Jeng, Inggo, Ome, Kuneho, Munggo, Topher, Steph, Steven, Joel, Manong Jerry, Jubay, Jakov, Jordan, Sunshine

Grub: many!!!

Happy Anniversary Team Apocalypse!

Yesterday's airsoft session was different since it started with our host team - Apocalypse's anniversary celebration. Invocation was of course headed by their priest member then it was food and booze gallore!

I had tahong, pansit, pizza, pichi pichi, lechon pork & chikkin, menudo, and the One True Beverage - Holy Liniment... Coke.

I won a tumbler on their raffle.

Jordan arrived with his gf (Sunshine of the Sex Bomb dancers) who I barely recognized. I personally liked Jolan though during their heydays. Eventually, she played too. So patching up what gears and guns we have, we lent it to her and off she go. Not bad for a starter, I say. She followed instructions well and brave enough for a noob who doesn't have an experience of an airsoft "hurt" yet.

To sum it up, the day's game was fun. Worth it even when I was kinda feverish that morning and tired too from the company's trip.

Too bad there'll be an airsoft competition (Kalis 6) on the 14th and I was supposed to be a part of our ten-man team to join but it will be my sister's church wedding too. It should have been done earlier but "Milenyo" had it rescheduled. Amf! Well, goodluck Team Screaming BB's!

After the day's event, we headed to "Tapsihan ni Vivian" in Aurora Blvd for chowtime. I had Barsilog (BBQ... ah astig!) and Tapsilog then after that, stormed the Quema Brothers in Katipunan for some "World War 2"-themed computer gaming - Company of Heroes!

The insanity never ends in the battlefield!
