The Week That Was

24th - After Lunch
I went to the Pit Shop in Sta. Mesa to have some miniature gaming with my hobby friends. My younger bro tagged along and it has been a sort of pseudo-Christmas Party with the guys... con pizza!

24th - Pre-Christmas Eve
I rushed to the Centerpoint to buy something for my "monito". Some of the mum-side relatives - including us - decided to spend the Christmas with our grannies and we had this exchange gift. My "monito" is my cousin slash buddy, Bogart, and I bought a Tribal buckled belt for him.

24th - Christmas Eve
I've stuffed my belly with everything on the dining table that I laid my eyes upon. No waiting for noche buena for me. The rebellious intestinal worms inside me were on riot already. Here's a summary of what I've had:

Igado (a Kapampangan dish?)
Embutido (or Morcon... kung anuman pinagka-iba nila)
Speed Freak Chicken (chicken prepared in turbo cooker... hehe)
Beef A-blah Blah (i dunno how it's called but it has sweet reddish sauce)
Pancit Canton (not the instant one)
Fruit Salad

...I don't think this is all of them. What was left forgotten were washed away from my memories because of the revelrie of having my palate tickled to orgasmic levels. Hehe.

Anyway, I got a very very soft pillow from my "monito", and 500 bucks from my Ninong Tito! Yeah... nakakatanggap pa ko sa Ninong ko kahit gento na ko katanda.

25th - Evening
Arriving at the Shak tambayan in Kamuning aboard the local Barangay Mobile (yes, I sort of got lost and hitched a ride from the Barangay's wheels) was not bad at all. Narinig ko pa yung isang umpukan nagbubulungan pagbaba ko ng multicab. "Yuuuun, huli!". Hehe... kala siguro na-bragansya ako ng Barangay.

Anyway, the Shak's Christmas Left-Over Party had my guts cramped with the almighty dish - SISIG (wooohoo!), some egg/pork en beans concoction, deep-fried "un-lean" meat, tuna & crackers brew, and that PUTANGINASOBRANGANGHANG ramen potion. Hehe. I just love that last dish.

The Left-Over Party, I believe, was a long-running traidition of the Shak boys - my closest friends on my miniature hobby. Being the geeks we are, we played a round of Warmachine (a miniature game) while indulging on several bottles of Vodka. Nooo... I didn't touch that Cosack... taena, amoy acetone! Dun ako sa Gilbey's. On the other hand, the Shak geeks from the other table played a board game - Twighlight of the Imperium (?).

It was fun. I went home with a container-full of miniature Orcs that I got from the Shak's "Incorrigible One". Salamats Garr!

26th - Afternoon
I finished painting another miniature model. It's what we call the Ravenwing Landspeeder Tornado in gaming terms. The one on the left is the speeder I just finished last Monday.

27th - Evening
I treated the family for a buffet dinner in Dad's Glorietta. They have this cute raggedy dog doll give-away. Eksakto violet yung napunta sa kin, and it's now on my table in the office. Again, I got my stomach jampacked and there's still an impending medya noche (?) celebration to go!! Demmit! I need me some good sweating next year.
