Ohhh, Isa Pang Quicky!
Thursday
Gilligan's with the Justice League tropa... our gentle giant Deedee was finally employed as a regular in Hewlett-Packard!
Also, him and Dan the "Flash" just arrived from Bangkok and got me home lotsa nice & cool additions to my tissue collection... ayus.
Congrats DD! Tang inumin mo, pa-kanton ka naman! =)
Friday
I went to Galleria to watch a couple of Warhammer games and just let the holiday pass away. Along with a friend, we headed to the Pit Shop in Sta. Mesa and bought myself more miniatures to fester myself with, painting.
Saturday
No UP-CFA Saturday for me today. I stayed home to assemble all the miniatures I bought and partly because my mum-side uncle from Pangasinan dropped by to visit.
Sunday
I dragged my younger bro with me in Glorietta to meet a friend whom iL trade miniature parts with. After the meet-up, we wasted time gaming at the Timezone, and after straining a couple of fingers, decided to watch Zorro Part Two. We concluded the spree munching at our peborit MikDonelds and packing home a couple of munchkins for the folks.

The Legend of Zorro
Spoiler Alert!
I love The Mask of Zorro! Back then, I knew through sheer prophesy that it would have a sequel eventually. It was the first-time I laid my eyes to the loveliest damsel in the Solar System... Catherine Zeta-Jones. Demmet, Mister Douglas... 'al take you someday!
Enough babbling now.
The latest installment on the swashbuckling movie mirrored its predecessor in terms of heroic feats and chivalric romance. What's "to see" in this movie as a slight change from the first one though, I believe, was the fact that they've inserted humorous scenes hither and thither. These stuffs could make the storyline look hackneyed but for me, it served its purpose of giving flavor to a downright serious flick... a "break" from the intensity of the fast-phased events on the film. Here, you'll see Zorro's black stallion became more "pasaway" as it was vaguely known during the first movie, which was in itself a funny way to put the film on another perspective saying "hey, this is not an entirely serious movie... admire some, smile some." I dunno if that's what the producers intended for us but if it is, then I like it that way.
I've always admired how the Zorro storyline "manipulated" the alternate history of America. This movie, just like the first one, has been able to twist the alternate history to give depth to the ensuing narrative. This time, the independent State of California was on the verge of joining the Union States but behind the political commotion, a devious organization was scheming to capitalize on the situation. Of course, the beloved Zorro was once again called to uphold righteous justice... this time, endangering his relationship to those he personally love most.
Three thumbs up for the film, I say. You'll see more of the gorgeous Cathy Zeta-Jones in action. That's enough justification for me.
