Survivor: Caliraya... Dream, Believe, Survive!

Just got back here in the office and I'm still sick as a government official but this can't wait... mga koya at ati, girl boy bakla tomboy, amy suzy en tessy... The Survivor: Caliraya Challenge!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Held last May 28-29 in Caliraya, Laguna, the company came up with this theme to bolster this year's team building activity. We left Makati at exactly 6:00am (of course you know when I say "exactly" in Pinoy term, it means past 10 minutes or something) and arrived there around 9:00am. It's not until 10:00am though when all of us were boated to the camp site. The last time I've been there with my family, we took the long rough road trip up the place so we need not cross that artificial lake.

Upon registration, we were given our "survival" kits and after a winding orientation, were assigned to our billets. E ampucha... pinagsama-sama kaming vampire shift sa isang cottage. The organizers don't have the slightest idea what they've done! Presenting... SELDA KATORSE and the KATORSE GANG...

that's me on the leftmost part...

And haven't I warned them that we are all nuts in the shift??

Mga Kosa, bastunin na yan!

Yung na-assign kasi na cottage sa 'min e Room 14 and puno ng military-grade bunks kaya mukhang pang-preso yung room so pinanindigan namin. Right then and there, we changed the room label to Selda 14 and edited ng roster list outside the cottage with our "jail" ranks. Ako ang Warden. Hehe. Ihanda ang rasyon!

There you go...

I loved those coloring pens that came with the survival kit. Markahan na yan, Kosa!

Mayor, ok ba?

Not all the time was spent goofing around though, the days we were contained on that place were jampacked with exhilarating team events from treasuring hunting to adventure challenges... from obstacle races to uhm well... literally pouncing on the first edible thing that passed our line of sight. Hehe.

There was a "tribe" grouping and for some auspicious reasons (...and to fit with my purple Chucks, purple-bead bracelet attire perhaps?), I was assigned to the Violet Team which was later named the Toxotes Tribe. This time, they came with a better sense to disperse the Katorse Gang members randomly among the tribes. In the end, our tribe ended on the 4th place, points-wise. Not bad.

Ang highlights ng trip e syempre yung mga kabulastugan ng Selda Boyz...

There's this female colleague from a different department which I should say the "fairest" of the pack, that everytime she passed by or arrived at the activity room we started singing the chorus from Janno Gibbs' "Fallin'"... the one with the line goin' "I think I'm fallin', fallin', in love with you..."

Pucha... agaw atensyon talaga. Napapatingin lahat ng departments tsaka wala magawa pati mga boss but to laugh at the antic. Astig.

Then, at the following night, we "ganged" up all thirteen Katorse Gang members then raided our colleagues' room to bully them for food, stuffs, or any "trippings" we would like to do. Parang riot. Hehe. We even edited the room label of our officemate's cottage into a Dog Kennel. Yan ang team spirit! =)

To cap it, the team building event was a blast... only because we made it so and why not di ba. We're there to have fun in the first place and I'm glad we've had our share of our definition of FUN. Hehe. Till next year... hopefully!

Ang tattoo ko sa loob ng selda... syempre Halo-halo!
