Tralalala Lalalala Means "I iz Happy!"

"It's love when you can't think of cheesy quotes to write or mushy words to say when your heart's overflowing with it."
- Obi (YM Status, Oct 30 2006)

Etong YM status ko today e sariling hirit to. Oo na, inlove na. Walang kelaman.

Anyway, the Baguio trip was, as expected, cool. I badly need the rest I did there and syemps yung "just being around her again is intoxicating" part. Ahuhuhuy! Remember, walang pakelaman. Moment ko to.

*smirk*

We departed here in Manila last Friday around 7am and from Baguio going back here, we left at 6-ish in the morning yesterday. I'm too lazy to chronicle the details today but I sure will when I get hold of the pics. I need to go in a while anyway.

Speaking of, Da Shak is summoning. It's the birthday celebration of the Ork deity himself, Pork!

Happy Birthday Pork Borja!!

I asked Arvin wutt to bring and it turns out marami na daw "itutulak" kaya cox na lang bitbitin ko. Of course, you can't go wrong with Da Shak's one true beverage... the holy liniment that is the Coke! Samahan ko na din daw ng dalwang cox lighter brew (Coke Light) for the other diabetic denizens.

Ciao for now as I dash me self to Kamias.

Nagbabagang Kilay

This pic was taken from our last Sunday's gunbang sessions. Thanks to Team Apocalypse for the cool shots. Kahit sarili kong baril hindi ko makita from this point of view. That's our US Multicam pattern BDU (battle dress uniform). It was developed as part of a US military program but later rejected in favor of the current BDU's issued for the peace-keeping forces in the Middle East. In the far corner of the pic was Sultan's arms with a glimpse of our team patch - the Screaming BB, itself.

*****

Yahooow, joyness. That will be up to Sunday which means I will not be able to join the SBB's on yet another airsoft event - Operation: Night Dagger 2. Last year's Night Dagger nakasama ako at ang saya saya talaga... overnight shootfest. I blogged that event somewhere here, nakakatamad lang mag hukay for the link. Too bad, I can't go this time but syemps, I need to check my priorities. *smile kilig kilig*

Tae na naman ako. Hehe.

Pinaghirapan ko nga mag "emergency" request for a vacation leave dito sa tarbaho e. May deadline kami this friday and may responsibilities ako na ako lang dapat ang gumawa as team lead.

Back to wuuurk!

Popcorn

"You know you're in love when you can't fall asleep because reality is finally better than your dreams."
- Obi (YM Status, Oct 23 2006)

Ang romantic ng quote na yan. Nakuha ko lang sa text yan e. Astig. Nakakatuwa nga kasi kaninang umaga may reaction about that quote (and most of my YM quotes in general) from a friend abroad...

Her: nice quote. i like that :)
Me: hehe thanks me too.
Her: haha u should send me a list of all your quotes. i read it everytime u go online.
Me: haha talaga kahit yung mga corny?
Her: cheesy din ako.
Me: hahaha everybody has a mushy side, magagaling lang magpanggap na hindi ang majority.
Her: hehe yeah. especially guys.
Me: :-p

I din't expect that. Anyway, that made my day. On with the regular programming.

Biyernes
I went to tita's condo again to install some stuffs on their new PC. Pinsan was there... and Ly again. La la la la la la! Happy kid, I was.

I brought popcorns this time.

Sabado
Went to Makati to play miniature games with my hobby buddies. That pretty summed up my entire day. We ate in "Goodah!!" at my persistence. Miss ko na yun e. They made me well fed with tapsilogs and Mighty Combi (tm) back in the wee glory days of college.

Right smack late afternoon, Gelo and I headed to Hobby Haven (our friend's net cafe), somewhere near Ateneo Gate 3 - Katipunan, to meet some friends and pit ourselves for some PC gaming action. Ate at KFC afterwards with Owen.

Late evening and before heading back home, syempre the Orkz we were paid homage to the spawn deity of Orkdom, Pork, and his loony crib - Da Shak! In short, dumaan muna kami sa Shak sa Kamias to check out who's who were in da house.

Shak Attendance that night: Pork, Me, Gelo, Jumping Johnny, Phatboi, Jubay, Emp + 1, Joma, John Liit, Arvin, Jacob + 1, Fred Laki

As usual, fullhouse ang Shak. That made me and Gelo stayed for a while... which actually lasted 3-4 hours... up to past 1 in the morning. Coke or in the term of the Shakboyz... Cox!

Linggo
Gun bang Sunday! Pagkatapos kong magpuyat the other day, I was back to Da Shak again by 9am to huddle up with the Screaming BB's to prep up for the day's airsoft session.

Screaming BB's attendance: Hans, Return of the Lloyd, Sultan, Jubay, Kuneho, Zeb Munggo, John Liit, Inggo, Ome, Jeng, Brian, Stephany, Jordan, Sir Joey, Phatboi, Obi, Garrboy, Topher

As usual, sa Camp Masada kami in San Mateo, playing with our Apocalypse battle brothers. Sexbomb Sunshine was not with Jordan. May bago na daw meaning ang SBB aside from Screaming BB's... Sex Bomb Boys. Hehe.

The day's game was fun. Other teams present were Nemesis, Section 8, AGL, and this team that I forgot the name. I badly need to have a new gun... nahihirapan na ko gumalaw using my H&G G3 rifle, too long for me. Palaging sumasabit yung nozzle. Sana hindi nya mabasa to, baka magtampo at hindi pumutok next airsoft games. Hehe.

Choco Donut

"Love is like a bag of chicharon, it could be unhealthy but you just can't resist."
- Obi (YM Status, Oct 19 2006)

Went to my aunt's condo yesterday to install their new PC.

I was able to catch up with my cousin and cute na cute na Ly. Joyness! It's always nice to see her or in the lines of Anakin Skywalker in Starwars Episode 2... "Just being around her again is intoxicating".

Sana palaging nandyan siya.

Brought them two six-boxes of "Go Nuts".

*****

On the other hand, we'll have a basketball game later after work.

Ano Ibig Sabihin ng Gratifying Bliss?

Love is like a plastic of pulburon, buo sa labas basag sa loob.
- Obi (YM Status, Oct 16 2006)

Biyernes
After work, I rushed to Teriyaki Boy - Morato to meet with the Screaming BB's (SBB). Grupo namin sa airsoft. The next day kasi (Saturday), there will be an annual Kalis Six airsoft competition to be held on the Fort Bonifacio Army Adventure Zone. Babaeng "utol".

Anyway, I still attended the meet up dinner.

Attendance: Garrboy, Obidoo, Sultan, Jeng, Return of the Hans, Inggo, Ome, Joel, Jubaybomber, Kuneho, Munggo, Sir Joey, Nowee, Jordan, Sunshine, Jakov

I was supposed to be member number nine of the 10-man team entry. Luckily, with Hansy's comeback from US, he'll be the one replacing me and the line up was complete again.

Joel distributed our newly fabricated military battle dress uniform. It has a Japanese-pattern camouflage, dubbed "jitai" which is, unlike the regular woodland pattern, heavy on brown hues and set on an olive drab background. Pogi na naman ang SBB! This pattern and our old US Multicam are still among the unique camo patterns in the airsoft scene here in Pinas. Astig.

Syemps, Sex Bomb's Sunshine was there with Jordan. I think she'll be a regular. Hehe.

Sabado
The day was memorable.

After 10,000 years, ngayon na lang ulit ako nakapagbigay ng flowers. And it has this funny feeling of gratifying bliss to see "her" happy about it too. Gusto ko man magpaka-macho at sabihing para sakin ay "it's just giving someone roses", hindi e. There were pink butterflies chasing around my guts. Anxious and uneasy in a good way. Hirap explain e.

Walang pakialaman blog ko to.

Anyway, that day I was a secondary sponsor for my sis's wedding and I barely coerced my dad to go to Malate church two hours before the ceremonies without a convincing reason. Kailangan ko kasi makahanap ng flower shop without him knowing. Wag nyo na itanong kung bakit. Ayoko ng "Jim - Jim's Dad" relationship and we're not "that" close to start with. He eventually agreed though so when we were there and while he roamed around the adjacent reception area to inspect, tumakas ako by the backdoor gate of the church tas ikot ang tumbong ko sa paghahanap ng flower shop at gift shop para sa note card around the area.

When I finally found one, I quickly bought a bunch (even helped Ate Vendor on arranging the bouquet... and proud of it!) and zipped back to the church to attend to the visitors that were starting to arrive. Then there she was; it was really nice to see her attend the event. Dun ko na din binigay yung flowers.

Mission accomplished. *ngisi with matching kilig kilig*

Pano ba kiligin ang lalake?

Basta. The day was fun. A LOT from the "angkan" was there. Nice to see a lot of familiar faces that I never thought of seeing again. Maraming nagsabing pumayat daw ako, mas maraming nagtanong kung bakit ako kalbo. Basta wala akong pakelam kahit anong sabihin sakin that day, basta masaya ako. As usual, my sis's twins were the eye-catchers. Ang cute nila sobra. Sana ako din magkaron ng twins.

Pics to follow.

Linggo
I texted the boyz of SBB for news regarding the Kalis Six event. I heard we did well and ended up on the middle rankings. That's good, given we din't have much practices and hindi kami "too serious" to grab the top slot. Basta masaya kami at nakapangulit that day, solve na. Wala namang "career" players samin e, yung mga nangangarir sobra that the "should-be" fun game ay nagiging korny.

I stayed the whole morning at home assemblying a miniature tank (Whirlwind) then in the afternoon I asked my bro to go with me in Glorietta for a grocery spree. Need to stock up the fridge. Saw Tan-tan and Bitoy in Tokyo Tokyo while me and Long were dining. Kay Tan-tan ako humiram ng barong. Bongga nga e. It was only on the day of the wedding that I noticed that his barong was designer's - Onesimus. Mahal siguro nun.

I was supposed to go to Katipunan that morning para tumambay, tinamad lang ako.

San Nicolas

Nakanahap kami ng katapat.

After several winning streaks against teams from RCBC, HP, UP-Law and P&G, the ragtag basketball team that I assembled here in the office was finally crushed to pulp by Yuki's Chinese friends (dubbed FIBA - Fil Intsik Basketball Association). The early phase was even but the rest of the race was clearly on their side. I barely can find my perimeter shots which had been an effective threat against the UP-Law boyz just several weeks ago. I din't even basket any of my five freethrow shots. Araykupo!

We played yesterday in the 4th floor covered gym of the Philippine Maritime Institute in Sta. Cruz. That area near Sta. Cruz church and the jeepney station to Binondo was teeming of untoward memories from my college years... (memories that pierces the heart... doh) but iL have to admit that it was nice to be back. Nostalgically satisfying.

No Rest for the Wicked

Clearwater Resort
Last Saturday, our office held the yearly team building at Clearwater Resort in Clark Field, Pampanga. Our Aussie guest this time was one of my football mates in Sydney - Frank - so I brought my soccer ball to anticipate a brewing challenge.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Sandstone Footie Bootcamp
L-R: Frank, Kix, Ranger Roy, Jovic, Mister Uy, Yuki, Obi

Before that though, the morning was started with a mini "Amazing Race" challenge. We of the Team Blue only ended up bagging the "Best Chant" after leading the leg up to the last challenge but only to be out-manuevered at the last minute. Awk!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Team 2 - Blue
L-R: Koya Jeff, Obi Doo, Glenn, Yuki Eps, Ghe, Miss Fe (not in pic: Big John BJ & Ariel)

I spent the rest of the day wandering around doing lotsa stuffs to exhaustion:

*piano sessions at the clubhouse - since I can't get my hand to play billiards (jampacked ang lamesa!), I just contented myself tinkering with the place's piano and gave some very very basic tutorial on piano chords with interested workmates.

*football! - as said, Frank and I were able to assemble some of our mates to play ball. I brought the soccer ball my Chinese friend in Sydney gave me. After about a tiring hour of foot-soring ball-kicking, my team won 10 is to 7. Wooot!

*boating - too tired to row, I just lounged at the boat with three of my mates (two of em rowing), wandering around this huge man-made pond.

*kayak - seeing no challenge in the sloggish flatboat, we transferred on the kayak for an impromptu sprint race. we won, crossing the pond and back. hah!

*swimming (syemps) - goof off at the swimming pool.

Pants Off!

*beach volley - can't get enough body pain, I literally dragged my mates to play ball with me.

L-R: Cha, Boy John BJ, Obi, Kix, Yuki

Too bad, I can't stay overnight for I have an airsoft game the next day so with some of the peeps who will not stay too, we embarked on our bus service and braved the two hour traffic that was EDSA.

My Sydney football shirt. My soccer mates in Sydney signed all o'those.

Camp Masada

Attendance: Obi, Garr, Sultan, Jeng, Inggo, Ome, Kuneho, Munggo, Topher, Steph, Steven, Joel, Manong Jerry, Jubay, Jakov, Jordan, Sunshine

Grub: many!!!

Happy Anniversary Team Apocalypse!

Yesterday's airsoft session was different since it started with our host team - Apocalypse's anniversary celebration. Invocation was of course headed by their priest member then it was food and booze gallore!

I had tahong, pansit, pizza, pichi pichi, lechon pork & chikkin, menudo, and the One True Beverage - Holy Liniment... Coke.

I won a tumbler on their raffle.

Jordan arrived with his gf (Sunshine of the Sex Bomb dancers) who I barely recognized. I personally liked Jolan though during their heydays. Eventually, she played too. So patching up what gears and guns we have, we lent it to her and off she go. Not bad for a starter, I say. She followed instructions well and brave enough for a noob who doesn't have an experience of an airsoft "hurt" yet.

To sum it up, the day's game was fun. Worth it even when I was kinda feverish that morning and tired too from the company's trip.

Too bad there'll be an airsoft competition (Kalis 6) on the 14th and I was supposed to be a part of our ten-man team to join but it will be my sister's church wedding too. It should have been done earlier but "Milenyo" had it rescheduled. Amf! Well, goodluck Team Screaming BB's!

After the day's event, we headed to "Tapsihan ni Vivian" in Aurora Blvd for chowtime. I had Barsilog (BBQ... ah astig!) and Tapsilog then after that, stormed the Quema Brothers in Katipunan for some "World War 2"-themed computer gaming - Company of Heroes!

The insanity never ends in the battlefield!

Sarbey Time

As tagged by Romyboo:

1. One book that changed your life?

Hardy Boys series.

I've always been a rabid bookworm even during my childhood years but I never had a strict genre following. I just read anything I came across at random (kahit newspaper ng lolo ko). Until Jai the Skizzo introduced me to reading (...and eventually, writing) mystery novels back in highschool - the likes of F. Dixon's Hardy Boys, C. Keene's Nancy Drew, A. Christie's Hercule Poirot, and of course the immaculate Sir A.C. Doyle's Sherlock Holmes. Since then, my practice of creative writing and choice of literary pieces broadened to new heights affecting my current interests, hobbies, and even some personal stuffs. At least, hindi Son Gokou or Kenkoy.

2. One book you have read more than once?

i find it entertaining reading Bob Ong's over and over again. Kahit alam ko na ang mababasa ko, gumugulong pa rin ako sa katatawa afterwards... and he did made a huge impact on how I write funny, how I deliver my "barbero" jokes, how I make myself goofy. BUT if we're to measure the number of times I read a single book, mananalo siguro ang Bible (naks). Totoo. Pramis.

3. One book you would want on a desert island?

Dummy's Guide on Surviving on A Desert Island

4. One book that made you cry?

ABNKKBSNPLKo by Bob Ong. Cry, laughing.

5. One book that made you laugh?

see number four

6. One book you wish had been written?/one book you wish you had written?

answer to both is a fantasy novel that will revolve on my concept of an Imperial Philippines (Souteast Asia) during the Medieval Ages. although I've roughly started writing some chapters back in college and fully did all the research needed to back it up, I somehow wasn't able to finish because I can't find time to. Shame.

7. One book you wish had never been written?

Can't think of any, I don't read books that doesn't pique my taste.

8. One book you are currently reading?

Starwars: Labyrinth of Evil (Prequel to Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith)

9. One book you have been meaning to read?

The rest of Herbert's Dune Anthology. I got all the books. Now, just to find (buy?) time to read em all.
